Satellites and Fairy Lights in Good Old Festive Tradition

SATELLITES AND FAIRY LIGHTS

If you thought Cruithne was archetype king of Picts—check your Histories again.

‘Morsheimer do Cruithne clainn raindset Albain i secht raind; Cait, Cé, Cirig, cétach clann Fib Fidach, Fotla, Fortrenn Ocus is o ainm gach fir dib fil for a fearand.’

‘Seven of Cruithne’s children divided Alba into seven divisions; the portion of Cat, of Cé, of Cirig a warlike clan, the kingdoms of Fife, Fidach, Fotla and Fortriu; and the name of each of them remains upon his land.’
Scots 12thC version of ‘lost’ Pictish Chronicle

21st Century Cruithne Orbits the Sun

Since 1997, Cruithne has been monitored by the European version of SETI—Carl Sagan’s fave extra-terrestrial intelligence search engine—as our closest “near-earth satellite”. [Not including the ICBMs and other space junk we throw up into orbit]. It even has its own space number—3753—though it may take some time to figure out where the other 3752 satellites roam within our inner solar system!

December’s Tree-Popping Moon

Recent volcanic activity in the Arctic threatened unseasonal nesting terns in Franz Josef Land

2017 seems to be going out with a bang. Despite the drawback of Mercury going retrograde for the first 23 days, a Gemini Full Moon—native American ‘Tree-Popping Moon’—brought an atmosphere of unreality—cotton-mouth of the brain—through the season’s open door, with romance, magic, confusion; but look out for deceit. It’s as if we’re already at the party, a fog machine’s running, and we’re wearing novelty glasses with rose-colored lenses.

Smack in the middle of the festivities, illusionist Neptune stands, in an exact T-square to the Sun and Moon. Its force both escalates and forces out fantasy, lies, and fraud, while doing the same with love, compassion, empathy and divine guidance. Because of Mercury’s spin retrograde, communications, transportation and moving around are difficult.

In this atmosphere, emotions may be clouded, confusing, muffled, or blissing us out to an extreme. We IWSGers may be float around in a daze. Our reaction to information may push us to escapism—never a bad thing for a writer—or binging, or retreating into a fantasy land.

Simultaneously.

Don’t Despair, Dragons Are There
Thankfully there is hope for discernment and possible safe passage through the Christmas rush—that single release point to the T-square’s pressure—the empty space in Virgo, opposite Neptune. Virgo, having given birth to Jupiter so recently, is empty: she helps us chew over things, call timeout, redraw boundaries, assist in navigating the haze.

A surprising lifeline to stabilization comes via Mercury. Even though he’s retrograde, he is conjunct Saturn, who brings order and slow, deliberate movement, underscoring the molasses feel of the retrograde station.

Order doesn’t mean same old, same old, though, as Saturn’s journey in the last year has shown. Innovative perspectives, approaches, and paradigms are all over 2017 Gemini Full Moon activity. They’re coming not just into consciousness, but into being, via a trine from this pair to Mercury’s genius uncle, Uranus. Visionary and radical change agent of the cosmos, Uranus is tossing intermittent lightning bolts, which pierce the fog and illuminate what’s inside. See last month’s excitement with Uranus.

When they hit, we’re not doomed to reacting like a deer in headlights. An epidemic of remarkable emotional flexibility and nimbleness is available, through the Moon’s benevolent trine to Jupiter with his generous powers of expansion. Since the great benefactor is in the intense waters of Scorpio, this connection makes it possible to perceive more deeply, into one’s self as well as others, than our usual Gemini surface-skating mindset.

As old secrets and previously hidden truths surface, we have to face/respond to them.

Doorways are opening; opportunities to move are within reach through the Mercury/Saturn conjunction’s sextile to Mars in Libra. Action in or through relationships is the key, such as discussing terms for structure or commitment, or a close ally offering a helping hand.

Maybe time to set the scene for a new novel, Alex? IWSG-ers all?

As we wander through the fog, it may feel vaguely familiar. Remember the mutable grand cross of June 2016? That sense of watching events play out without our ability to steer or direct.

Are we prepared for a blue moon on New Year’s Day, 2018? Or an extra Cruithne companion, perhaps?

Because continental U.S.A. is suffering right now—and I’ve never been one to crow during others’ misfortune—PacNW experiencing tropical weather window—I choose to commiserate for this month’s IWSG get-together, rather than stress how fortunate I am to live where I do. Breathes deeply.

Let me try to put our current earth-shivers in a more space-time perspective—as does our revered leader, Space Ninja Captain Alex, who can conjure a blockbuster sci-fi series whenever real life gets tough. Bless him for continuing to inspire—me, at least.

The space/sci-fi scenario which follows is not quite Alex’s professional air-tight Science FICTION— sadly rather it borders on Science fact. But, you know what they say:
It’s All in the Stars.

All civilization please respond. Earth can be resurrected

Small explanation, in best sci-fi index/Matrix style:
In 1964, Russian astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev categorized civilizations by total energy available to them. He isolated three levels of civilizations, based on their capacity to harness and use power. These have since been expanded to include a further four—in light of increasing speculation spawned in cross-discipline math/theoretical-physics.
Earth is a zero level civilization.

The Kardashev Scale now with seven levels of civilizations, bases its categories on (putative) galactic civilizations and their power consumption—but more implicitly on their technological advancement and enlightenment.

A type III Kardashev civilization would be able to harness energy resources of an entire galaxy

A type III Kardashev civilization would be able to harness energy resources of an entire galaxy

Type I civilization would be able to marshal energy resources for communications on a planet-wide scale, equivalent to the entire present power consumption of the human race, or about 1016watts.

Type II civilization can surpass this by a factor of approximately ten billion, making available 1026 watts, and exploiting the total energy output of its central star.

Type III civilization is evolved enough to tap the energy resources of an entire galaxy, enabling access to power sources, approx. 1036 watts.

KARDASHEV CIVILIZATIONS and SETI
Carl Sagan pointed out that the energy gaps between Kardashev’s three types were so enormous that a finer gradation was needed to make his theory work, e.g. Type 1.1 civilization could expend maximum 1017 watts on communications, while Type 2.3 could utilize 1029 watts.

Kardashev estimated—on a discriminating scale—that the human race at present qualifies as approx. Type 0.7. But neither scientist figured in the extra oomph which comes, when Mother Earth decides to add a little pizzazz to the equation.
Volcanic eruptions 7.2 Kamchatka Feb. 23; earth tremors California ongoing; volcanic explosions Villarica, Chile March 2nd, ongoing.

MARCH COMING IN LIKE a LION
Weather, on the other hand, will always get a rise out of someone. We do not have to submit to wall-to-wall volcanic earth movement, or anomalous El Niño weather to get our pad out, intellectual pencils sharpened, and brandish our critique.

In 2010, I wrote how March came in like a lamb, but went Out Like a LION.
This time, the LION is biting at March’s open door. And we seem to have no reprise. Grand Cross lingers, on top of celestial fireworks: aligning in the heavens—perhaps to give us hope.

Celestial Alignment—Cosmic Crossroads
Great combination for stargazers, but poor Earth suffers under huge stresses in her—subterranean—tresses. Her petticoats are leaking out at the edge of her dresses. Pollution finally raises its oh-horrendously-ugly head.

Eclipses for equinox, with more karmic cleaning for us to do, as the celestial Grand Cross continues.
Buckle up. This year, it might be quite a ride.

Saturn Retrograde: Learning the Hard Way

Uranus and the outer Giants come into play

A few months back I posted one of my astro blogs: on the Jupiter/Saturn Giants and their influence. At that time I invited Mehal Darji-Rockefeller to guest blog on Vedic Astrology – one of his pet subjects.

He has been inordinately busy this last winter! (lol Mehal – I shall pierce you back – I’m also Western Virgo; Eastern Cancer!)

Now he explains this ancient study of the stars and in such a riveting way highlights some of the differences between and similarities with Western astrology. He has the knowledge of eons on his side – Vedic astrology must be just about the oldest knowledge of the stars that we humans have been blessed to receive through tradition and ancestral focus.

While he posted this as a comment to my latest blog on June’s upcoming Cardinal Grand Cross, I believe it deserves space in its own right.

So, Mehal; you have the floor. Thank you.

‘I am certainly paying attention and know this was written for US, Marian. In Western astrology I am a Virgo. In Vedic or Eastern a Cancer (Crab; watch out I will pierce you). Vedic astrology is oldest so I personally favor it. FYI: to figure out One’s Vedic birth star, take your Western sign and add 9 months. For example, I was born 09/15 + 9 months = 6/15 – a Cancer.

With Saturn at the moment moving retrograde in Virgo, we must be disciplined and, with our phoenix determination, will be showered with blessings when Saturn goes direct in July. There is still sculpting of our souls in play. Perhaps not the most kind teacher, Lord Saturn is the greatest teacher or surgeon.

“Learn the hard way.”

With the Sun and Mercury (my ruling planet) both in Cancer, a Cancer/Virgo’s writing and communication skills will be highlighted and pronounced. Some of us may even write blogs! The use of technology will be used to take mass action and raise vibrational awarenesses in evolution and consciousness.

Mars in Cancer will add a lot of spice and zest to personalities. Watch out for bold recklessness. Insight, intuition, inner knowingness and interdependence of all of creation will be especially strong.

Mars adds spice to the cocktail

Mars or Muruga in Vedic will be the ruling planet in the Golden Age of 2012 with Rahu maintaining creationism. Uranus/Neptune are parallel to Rahu/Ketu in Vedic Astrology. They are the nodes of the moon. Pluto is absent.

A showering of awareness and marked acceleration of higher levels of consciousness will be aroused by Neptune in Aquarius (the Gardener) and Uranus. The creative power of humanity’s sexual energies will be ever so powerful as the Grand Cross, intersection of the conscious and unconscious, matrix of all matter or ‘Spirit’ of creation, is tapped into over the Cosmos.

I posted this on FaceBook and feel it would be appropriate here:

Astrology - Vedic versus Western

Astrology is not a bogus science. If the Human body is made up of over 80% water. And if the Ocean is made up of water. And if the Moon and planets influence weather patterns i.e. tides etc. Then One can assume that the Moon and planets have a strong influence on the Human Body. Water Holds Memory. FACT. So the Human physiological and nervous systems are influenced through this ‘phase transition’ or ‘critical Mass‘ effect.

I feel we, as spiritual beings in a material world, have reached this tipping point. I am personally experiencing the most remarkable of spiritual ‘delights.’ I agree with you, Marian, that humanity is waking up at a remarkable rate. Unprecedented opportunities, new doors and infinite miracles are all realities on the earth plane. Humanity is blessed. One just needs to maintain awareness and be conscious.

The Vedic New Year is celebrated on the first day of the Vedic month of Chitirai (April-May). According to the ancient text Brahmanda Purana, it is on this day that Lord Brahma (Creator God among the Trinity) started the act of creation.

The Vedic New Year truly represents the ‘New Year’ since it is based on the transit of the Sun into the constellation of Aries. Aries is the first sign and the natural 1st house of the Zodiac. The Sun becomes very strong and powerful when it is in Aries.

Each Vedic New Year has a unique name; it repeats only after a 60-year cycle. This Vedic New Year starts on April 14 and is called ‘Vikrithi’.

This Vedic New Year Day also coincides with the New Moon Day. As per Siddhas, the New Moon represents synergy of solar and lunar rays. The unique conjunction of New Year and New Moon on April 14 makes it a highly auspicious day. A wave of new possibilities and endeavors is in the works for the earth plane.

I also posted the below on Facebook and feel it would be appropriate here:

Ultra-low frequency range of 0-5 Hz is where miracles or ‘instant’ manifestation occurs. The name of the device ‘Induction’ Magnetometer implies it measures the ‘pulling power’ or ‘As you think so shall you be’ ideology.

Maintaining conscious contact with the creative power of high vibrational states can change One’s life. Music, art, meditation etc.

Research is being done in many primitive cultures about many metaphysical creation principles. This is why it is so important to maintain positive thoughts as we all accelerate the Global conscious evolution into the Golden 2012.
